Guided Rock Climbing in Revelstoke
Revelstoke has some excellent single and multi-pitch rock climbing routes up to 450m (16 pitches) from 5.4 to 5.13, with short approaches and some spectacular settings.
We can tailor the day to your desires, whether it be a long multi-pitch, rock rescue practice, learning to lead or place trad gear, or technique on single pitch routes. Where We Climb
The Revelstoke area has 17 climbing areas with over 450 established routes spread across roughly 70 developed cliffs. We guide most often at:
Victor Lake Wall — 12 pitch routes that are best in the spring and fall before it gets too hot, or with an alpine start in summer.
Waterworld — Routes that climb directly from Lake Revelstoke, accessed by rappel from above with a 5 minute walk. A great spot for a morning multi-pitch before the sun hits in summer, or an afternoon climb in the sun on a cold day.
Begbie Bluffs — The largest cragging area in Revelstoke, with single and multi-pitch sport and trad routes from 5.5 to 5.13. The Kids Wall offers 5.5 to 5.7 routes well suited to first-time climbers and family days. Approach is 15 to 20 minutes.
Custom days at other area crags — including Shaketown, Blanket Canyon, Lauretta Slabs, Macpherson, and Silvertip — can be arranged.
For climbers wanting bigger objectives, we also guide alpine rock routes in the Selkirks and Monashees, including the Bugaboos — see our Alpine Climbing page.
Rock Climbing Season in Revelstoke
The Revelstoke rock climbing season runs from April through October for single-pitch cragging. Lower-elevation crags like Shaketown, Waterworld, and Begbie Bluffs come into condition first in spring. May, June, and September are typically the best months for multi-pitch days, while July and August are prime for alpine rock objectives in the Selkirks, Monashees, and Bugaboos.
We also offer guiding services in other Canadian destinations including Squamish, plus other continents including Australia and Europe.
